To assist in the effective and efficient operation of the cafeteria by supporting food preparation, coordinating inventory and storage activities, and contributing to customer service and hygiene standards. The role ensures seamless daily functioning in alignment with JRF’s quality and safety guidelines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Receives and verifies goods and food supplies from vendors in accordance with JRF’s approved procedures.
- Delivering required materials for the chef and team members in a timely and orderly manner.
- Stock, organize, and maintain inventory in refrigerators and storage areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist the chef in the preparation and production of food items and light meals, following guidance provided.
- Serve and sell cafeteria products to visitors and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Participates in scheduled inventory counts to ensure accurate records and proper stock levels.
- Comply with occupational health and general hygiene practices set by the Foundation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an organized and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus.
- Good communication skills in Arabic and English (spoken and basic written).
- 0-2 years
- Previous experience in restaurants or cafeterias is an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.
- Good organizational skills and commitment to punctuality.
- Polite and professional in dealing with customers and colleagues.
