To assist, organize, and present food items received from the kitchen by ensuring proper handling, portioning, and display standards, while communicating effectively with customers in Arabic and English. The role contributes to cafeteria operations through hygiene compliance and customer service delivery that reflects JRF’s quality standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify prepared food items from the kitchen; ensure proper handling and temporary storage.
- Portion, arrange, and display food items using JRF-approved standards and procedures.
- Prepare mixed salads and ensure freshness, visual appeal, and quality.
- Organize food in refrigerators/display counters to meet health and safety guidelines.
- Serve cafeteria items based on approved menus and designated portion sizes.
- Communicate politely and professionally with customers in Arabic and English to resolve inquiries and complaints efficiently.
- Request required packaging and operational materials to ensure smooth daily functions.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food hygiene and safety requirements across workstations.
- Follow personal hygiene standards in accordance with institutional policies.
- Foster positive customer interactions and contribute to a friendly and welcoming cafeteria environment.
Qualification:
- Diploma degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus.
- Good communication skills in Arabic and English (spoken and basic written).
- 0-2 years.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Friendly, sociable, and professional attitude.
- Ability to handle customer complaints with patience and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of portion control and food display.
