Job Brief:
As a PR Supervisor at Umniah, you will play a key role in shaping the company's public image, media presence, and corporate reputation. You will lead strategic PR campaigns, manage executive communications, and handle crisis communication efforts ensuring everything aligns with Umniah's brand vision. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful storytelling, drive media engagement, and position Umniah as a thought leader in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies aligned with Umniah's business goals, while identifying key audiences, messaging frameworks, and communication channels
- Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and key media outlets; proactively pitch stories, secure interviews, and manage press inquiries
- Secure high-impact media coverage in top-tier business, tech, and telecom outlet
- Position Umniah's leadership (CEO and executives) as industry experts through op-eds, interviews, speeches, and speaking engagements
- Craft thought leadership content and ensure alignment between executive messaging and the overall PR strategy
- Develop and lead crisis communication plans, train spokespersons, and monitor public sentiment to protect Umniah's reputation
- Write and edit press releases, website content, executive bios, LinkedIn posts, corporate statements, and marketing collateral
- Create compelling, data-driven PR narratives such as success stories, customer testimonials, and innovation highlights
- Identify and manage sponsorship opportunities and strategic partnerships with events, NGOs, and industry stakeholders
- Plan and execute press conferences, product launches, and corporate events, including logistics, media coverage, and follow-up
- Organize community engagement and CSR initiatives, ensuring brand alignment and positive public impact

- Manage subordinates' learning & development requirements and ensure that it is successfully delivered and provide related feedback to the management.
- Assign roles and work load distribution, set team objectives and conduct regular informal one-on-one meetings to deliver personalized feedback and provide support to attain goals
- Conduct formal performance evaluation process for the subordinates in order to optimize workplace productivity
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, evaluation process of new employees.
- Provide guidance and delegate responsibilities to subordinates to facilitate performing different tasks to support succession planning process
- Manage subordinates' administrational requirements
- Assure that all subordinates are following Umniah's policies and procedures and highlight any violation for the code of conduct
- Manage economic, efficient and effective budget plan and control in alignment with the department and Umniah's strategy.
- Ensure that employees are engaged and motivated through creating a respectful and trusting relationship with them and communicating Umniah values
- Demonstrate flexibility in management by accommodating individual employee needs such as adjustable schedules or remote work options
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, PR, Marketing, or any other related field.
Level of Experience:
Intermediate Experience (5-8Yrs) in a related
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
- Good knowledge of brand equity management: brand valuation, brand protection
- Excellent knowledge of project management: project planning/tracking, resource allocation and budgeting, project reporting, issue resolution
- Excellent communication skills, advertising, public relations
- Excellent knowledge of public and government media management and methodologies
- Excellent knowledge of social media scene
- Good knowledge of telecommunication industry, products, and services
- Good knowledge of local market: mobile telecommunications industry, consumer behavior and consumer segments
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent relations with Media partners.
- Excellent command of Arabic & English language both speaking and writing
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Excellent command of computer skills (MS Office)
