Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations for a U.S. based company. This is a full-time, on-site, contract role designed for an experienced accountant who values flexibility and autonomy while contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You’ll work remotely with USA, from our PBS Amman Office, and independently while collaborating closely with the internal team to manage full-cycle accounting activities across multiple platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an agile, detail-oriented accountant looking to support U.S.-based ventures in lending, real estate, and other high-growth sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily bookkeeping and general ledger entries.
- Record daily loan funding and purchase transactions in a timely manner.
- Enter and track purchase advice into the Loan Origination System (LOS) daily
- Handling accounts payable, including Invoice recording, vendor payments and reconciliation.
- Record and reconcile bank activity weekly and monthly
- Record and reconcile credit card activity on a weekly and monthly basis
- Reconcile loan transactions, warehouse lines, and liabilities
- Assist with month-end closings, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with annual audit preparation and documentation
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support reporting needs
- Support various cross-functional and ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 1-2 year of hands-on accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office tools and strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
- Experience month-end close, and reconciliations
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent Written and spoken English skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and openness to coaching and feedback
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and adaptability
- Availability to work U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours (3:30 PM – 12:30 AM local time, Mon–Fri)
