Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented accountant with a background in customs clearance to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 1–3 years of accounting experience, with a solid understanding of customs clearance procedures, financial recordkeeping, and the requirements of international trade. Experience with the new electronic invoicing system in Jordan is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and customs clearance regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, audit balances, and income reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Process monthly employee salaries, including calculating social security contributions and ensuring timely bank transfers.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Use Jordan’s new electronic invoicing system (Fatoorah) to generate and track digital invoices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a customs clearance or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with the new electronic invoicing system in Jordan (Fatoorah) is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Analytical and numerical skills.
- High accuracy in preparing financial reports.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills in both Arabic and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in tax or customs clearance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) is a plus.
- Experience in financial analysis and budget preparation.
