Development Manager to join our growing team. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, and building strong client relationships across various sectors.
Job Description
- Establish the overall marketing strategy to ensure business growth and maximize profit.
- Lead business development efforts, working independently and managing the sector team.
- Propose sector-based improvement initiatives to management.
- Support the development of innovative services and market approaches.
- Analyze competitors and gather market insights to enhance client retention.
- Identify new markets and emerging customer needs.
- Promote BA services aligned with client goals.
- Manage tender/proposal reviews and ensure timely submissions.
- Schedule and attend business meetings with prospective clients.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key and corporate clients.
- Support marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Analyze customer data, market conditions, and competitors to implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Share market trends and business opportunities with management.
- Collaborate on the design and launch of second-party, sector-based business solutions.
- Provide technical support and expand service capabilities.
- Deliver internal training to enhance team service delivery when needed.
- Assist the sales team with technical queries from prospective clients.
- Ensure all deliverables meet SGS procedures and client expectations.
- Develop the Sales team through goal setting and regular performance evaluation.
- Engage with the sales team on contracts and follow-up actions.
- Maintain records of sales, revenues, invoices, and collections.
- Adhere to internal standards and protocols (e.g., QHSE, Integrity, Sustainability, Professional Conduct).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in business development or a related field.
- Familiarity with SGS policies, procedures, and applicable local regulations.
- Awareness of management systems.
- Proficient in SGS IT tools (CRM, CertIQ, etc.).
