Al Ahli Club – Jordan is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sports Manager to lead and coordinate the daily sports operations of the club, covering all teams and academies across various sports. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with federations, manage technical staff, plan budgets, and negotiate contracts. This is a strategic and operational role aimed at ensuring high-performance standards across all sporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of all sports departments, teams, and academies (for both genders and all age groups).
- Liaise with local and international federations to ensure compliance, coordination, and participation in official competitions.
- Supervise training programs, schedules, coaching structures, and performance evaluation systems.
- Plan and oversee training camps, tournaments, and international exposure programs.
- Lead the recruitment, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation of coaches, technical staff, and players in coordination with the CEO and board.
- Develop and manage budgets for sports departments, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial plans.
- Collaborate with the medical, nutrition, and psychological support teams to ensure athlete well-being.
- Support the marketing team by creating attractive sponsorship and partnership opportunities in the sports field.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of player records, team registrations, and federation requirements.
- Foster a positive team culture and high-performance environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sports management, preferably within a club or federation.
- Strong knowledge of sports operations, athlete development systems, and academy structures.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage sports budgeting and financial planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent the club professionally with external stakeholders.
- Background in sports marketing, sponsorship, and PR is a strong asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and a passion for youth and professional sports development.
