About the Role
Gadora Tobacco PSC is seeking a skilled and hands-on Processing Manager to oversee factory operations at our Aqaba facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth, efficient production that meets both customer expectations and company standards. We're looking for someone with solid leadership experience, a practical understanding of factory processing, and the drive to manage both people and performance with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Control
- Develop and manage the factory’s daily and long-term processing plans and budget
- Lead daily planning meetings with management to align on targets and address any operational issues
- Coordinate with supply chain and production teams to ensure all materials are available as per the production plan
- Update SCADA systems and maintain accurate production records
- Operations Management
- Drive efficiency across all processing activities, reducing waste and downtime
- Monitor and evaluate equipment performance and ensure proper maintenance is carried out
- Maintain high product quality by analyzing QA results and taking corrective actions as needed
- Engage with customers during visits and ensure their requirements are met consistently
- Prepare and manage service contracts and support compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
- Provide input and data for the global factory roadmap and support the implementation of improvement plans
People & Team Leadership
- Supervise and support a large team, including supervisors, operators, forklift drivers, and general workers
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to review objectives and ensure alignment with company goals
- Monitor performance, identify gaps, and collaborate with HR to address development needs
- Promote a safe, supportive, and high-performance work environment
What We’re Looking For
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering (required)
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Management or similar field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role within a factory processing environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of processing operations, factory maintenance, and customer expectations
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Competence in analyzing data, identifying process improvements, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills in English are required, Arabic language is desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus
- Membership in the Jordanian Engineers Association is desirable
