SMART DIRECTIONS is a specialist systems integrator based in Saudi Arabia with over 10 years of experience in smart systems and infrastructure. We work with some of the largest organizations in the region, helping them achieve better performance and growth through practical, customized technology solutions.
We’re currently looking for a Presales Engineer – ELV Systems to join our team full-time, remotely from Amman-Jordan. Your role will be to support the sales process by understanding client needs, designing the right technical solutions, and helping deliver strong proposals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions
- Preparing and delivering clear technical presentations and demos
- Building a solid understanding of our ELV systems and services
- Preparing technical and financial proposals, quotations, and tender documents
- Providing technical support throughout the sales cycle
- Maintaining good relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Reading and understanding drawings, RFQs, and RFPs, and turning them into workable designs
- Keeping up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
What we’re looking for:
- 3 to 7 years of experience in ELV / low current systems, with proven experience in presales
- Strong background in networks, audio-visual, security, life safety, and building control systems
- Solid understanding of system integration and ability to suggest value-engineered options
- Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Good English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Relevant training or certifications in ELV systems
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Capable of working independently and supporting teammates or other departments when needed
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
