About Affinity Power & Control
Affinity Power & Control is one of the MENA region's leading specialists in renewable energy and power systems. From our headquarters in Amman, Jordan, we design, supply, and commission solar PV plants, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), substations, and the control systems that tie them together, for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale clients. Our work spans 20+ countries, with more than 7 GW of smart energy infrastructure delivered to date. We are now expanding across the GCC, working alongside a strong network of EPC contractors, developers, and investment partners.
About the Position
As Affinity grows in the GCC, this role leads our solar business with large industrial energy users. You'll identify industrial complexes and large factories with high electricity costs, build relationships with their owners and senior executives, and make a clear business case for solar.
Working with Affinity's network of EPC contractors, developers, and investment partners, you'll shape the right solution and commercial model for each client, from a direct EPC purchase to build-own-transfer (BOT) and PPA structures that need little or no upfront investment, and steer each deal through to signature.
You won't be designing plants yourself, but you need to understand the engineering and financial logic of solar well enough to be credible with plant engineers and CEOs alike. The role is based at our headquarters in Amman, with regular travel across the GCC, and comes with a substantial commission structure that rewards the deals you close. If you're confident in the boardroom, fluent in Arabic and English, and excited to help build a new market, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
Market & Client Origination
- Identify and target large energy consumers across the GCC: industrial complexes, manufacturing plants, industrial cities, and large commercial and logistics facilities.
- Prioritize opportunities based on electricity spend, tariffs, available roof or land area, and decision-making access.
- Secure and lead meetings with owners, CEOs, CFOs, and plant and operations directors.
- Own a pipeline of high-value opportunities and meet or exceed annual targets (signed MWp and contract value).
Executive Engagement & Business Case
- Lead senior-level conversations, presenting solar in terms that matter to the client: lower energy costs, protection from tariff increases, energy security, and sustainability/ESG targets.
- Analyze electricity bills, consumption data, and tariffs to build preliminary savings estimates, with support from engineering.
- Explain and compare commercial options (capex/EPC purchase, BOT, PPA, and other zero-capex models) and help clients choose the best fit.
- Present proposals and business cases confidently to boards and executive teams.
Partner & Deal Coordination
- Work closely with Affinity's EPC, developer, and investment partners to scope, price, and structure solutions for each client.
- Coordinate site assessments, technical studies, and proposals between clients and partners.
- Keep all parties aligned through negotiation, term sheets, and contract signature.
- Hand over smoothly to delivery and remain the client's trusted point of contact through implementation.
Market Development
- Build a strong network across the GCC energy ecosystem: EPCs, developers, investors, consultants, utilities, and industrial authorities.
- Track solar regulations, self-consumption and distributed-generation rules, and industrial tariffs in each GCC market, and feed insights into our expansion strategy.
- Represent Affinity at exhibitions, industry forums, and client events.
Reporting
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and client records in our CRM.
- Prepare clear, regular reports on opportunities, deal progress, and market insights.
