Apps Wave Information Technology is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our technical team.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to build a career in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and application deployment while gaining hands-on experience working on real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist with application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications.
- Support Git-based source code management and workflows using Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab.
- Assist in troubleshooting deployment, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance and review system logs.
- Support automation initiatives and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
- Assist with documenting deployment processes and infrastructure configurations.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 0- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
- Familiarity with tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including Pods, Deployments, Services, and Namespaces.
- Good understanding of Git, branches, commits, pull requests, and merges.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and fundamental cloud concepts.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and common Linux commands.
- Familiarity with Bash or PowerShell is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of monitoring, logs, and troubleshooting.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent knowledge.
- Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Understanding DevOps security practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Personal projects, internships, technical training, or relevant certifications.
