Before anything else, the practical stuff - we'd rather you know now than find out at the interview:
- Office-based in Amman, with real time out at client sites, venues and events. Not remote
- Not a 9 to 5. Your day runs mostly midday into the evening, since that's when clients, venues and events are live
- Own transport, since the job moves around Amman
- Arabic and English, both, written and spoken. You'll be the one writing to clients and sitting across from them
Vyltic is Jordan's largest padel network - 8,500+ players, 70+ courts in 4 cities, 200+ events so far. We also run Welltold, our in-house agency handling marketing for external clients and partners. Between the two, we hold a lot of relationships: brands that trust us with their marketing, venues that run their business on our platform, sponsors, partners. Every one of them deserves someone whose whole job is making sure they're looked after. That's the job.
Here's what an account manager actually does here. You own a book of accounts. Depending on where we place you, those accounts are either the brands Welltold works for or the venues that run on Vyltic. Either way, the job is the same: you are the person they call, the person who knows what's happening on their account before they ask, and the person who makes sure what we promised actually lands.
Day to day, you'll:
- Be the single point of contact for your accounts, and answer fast
- Run the rhythm of each relationship: check-ins, reports, reviews, renewals, nothing left to chance
- Take what the client wants and turn it into a clear brief the team can act on, then follow it through to delivery
- Catch problems early and fix them before they reach the client, and when something does go wrong, own it and make it right
- Spot where an account could be worth more to both sides, and bring it to the table
- Keep your pipeline and account tracker current so anyone can see the state of every relationship at any time
- Feed what you hear from clients back into the company, so we get better because of it
What it isn't:
- A messenger between the client and the team
- "I'll check and get back to you" as a way of life
- A desk job
The person we're after is credible in any room, from a venue owner's office to a brand manager's boardroom. People leave conversations with you better off than they came in. You're relentlessly organized, the kind of person whose tracker is always up to date because you can't stand not knowing. You take ownership. And you're context-hungry: you want to understand the client's business, not just their brief.
Experience in account management, client services, marketing, hospitality or sales helps. Knowing padel helps too.
One thing we want to be clear about: we're not hiring for a gig, and we're not looking for someone passing through. We're looking for someone who wants to build a career - and this is a company where that's actually possible. We'd rather have ten exceptional people than fifty average ones, so the bar is high and stays high. But performance here is measured openly, and growth follows it. We're expanding into new sports and new markets across the Middle East, and the relationships you'll be holding are the ones that carry that expansion. The people who prove themselves early are the ones who end up carrying the bigger roles when we get there. There's no ceiling here. It's just earned.
