Sales & Business Development Specialist – Construction
Location: Amman, Jordan

Workplace: Office-based with regular external client visits, meetings, networking, and market development activities
We are looking for a commercially driven Sales & Business Development Specialist to help grow our construction business by identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients and industry partners, and converting leads into awarded projects.
This is a proactive business-development role combining office-based follow-up and sales activity with regular presence in the market.
The successful candidate will be expected to actively search for new projects, approach potential clients, attend external meetings, build relationships with decision-makers, maintain consistent follow-up, and develop a strong pipeline of construction opportunities.
The role is suitable for someone who is highly social, confident, commercially minded, persistent, organised, and comfortable spending part of their time outside the office meeting clients, networking, visiting relevant businesses, and developing new opportunities.
Previous knowledge of construction, estimating, BOQs, project pricing, or technical proposals will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify new construction projects, clients, and business opportunities.
- Spend regular time in the market developing relationships and identifying potential projects and clients.
Build and maintain relationships with:
- Property owners
- Real-estate developers
- Architects
- Consultants
- Interior designers
- Project managers
- Investors
- Other parties involved in the development and award of construction projects
- Research the market to identify upcoming projects and potential clients at an early stage.
- Identify relevant decision-makers and establish direct contact with them.
Generate new leads through:
- Direct outreach
- Face-to-face networking
- Referrals
- LinkedIn and other professional platforms
- Industry relationships
- Client and consultant visits
- Meetings and events
- Existing market contacts
- Arrange and attend meetings with prospective clients and industry partners.
- Visit architects, developers, consultants, owners, and other potential sources of construction opportunities.
- Present the company, its services, previous projects, and capabilities to potential clients.
- Understand client requirements and identify suitable opportunities for the company.
- Obtain the necessary project information, drawings, BOQs, specifications, requests for quotation, and other relevant commercial or technical information.
- Participate in the preparation and development of commercial proposals and quotations.
- Follow up consistently on submitted proposals and quotations.
- Maintain active communication with prospective clients throughout the sales process.
- Participate in commercial discussions and negotiations.
- Follow opportunities from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and project award.
- Maintain an organised and continuously updated sales pipeline.
- Record relevant client contacts, meetings, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
- Clearly identify the next action required for every active opportunity.
- Develop long-term relationships with architects, developers, owners, consultants, and other potential sources of future projects.
- Generate repeat business and referrals from existing relationships.
- Monitor market activity and identify potential sectors, clients, and project types for business development.
- Provide regular reporting on sales activity, meetings, leads, opportunities, proposals, and pipeline development.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in sales, business development, client acquisition, account development, or a related commercial role.

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in any of the following sectors will be considered an advantage:
- Construction, contracting, real-estate development, fit-out, building materials, or construction-related sales
- Experience working within a large, well-established company with a strong and structured sales organisation, including clear sales targets, KPI measurement, CRM systems, lead-generation processes, pipeline management, and disciplined follow-up
