Job Summary
A mining investments company is seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong track record in financial management to oversee and strengthen their financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring solid leadership in financial planning, reporting, and controls, along with the systems experience to support a modern, efficient finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company's overall financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international financial institutions, development banks, and global funding organizations (e.g., EBRD, IFC, World Bank, etc.).
- Liaise with family offices and private investors to explore and secure investment opportunities.
- Prepare financial reports, investment proposals, and due diligence documentation required by funding partners.
- Ensure compliance with investment criteria and requirements set by financing institutions.
- Monitor cash flow, financial risk, and the organization's overall fiscal health.
- Coordinate with legal, audit, and compliance teams to ensure all financial documentation meets international standards.
- Support senior management in strategic decision-making related to financing and investment.
- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with financial partners and investors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CFA is preferred).
- 10 years of experience in a similar financial management role.
- Proven experience working with international funding institutions (e.g., EBRD, IFC, DFIs) and family offices.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of investment criteria, financial modeling, and due diligence processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Close attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with international financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience preparing documentation for grants, loans, or equity investment applications.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
