FutureTEC is looking for an experienced SOC Manager / SOC Director to lead and continuously mature our Security Operations capability.
We are seeking a cybersecurity leader who combines strong technical expertise with operational discipline, people leadership, and strategic vision. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing 24x7 SOC operations, strengthening security monitoring and detection capabilities, and driving continuous improvement across our security operations environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage 24x7 SOC operations, including security monitoring, detection, investigation, incident response, and escalation.
- Lead and develop SOC teams, including resource planning, shift management, performance management, mentoring, and capability development.
- Develop and maintain SIEM use cases, correlation rules, detection strategies, and monitoring coverage.
- Oversee security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, NDR, WAF, IAM, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and security analytics.
- Lead Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Security Investigations, and Major Incident Management.
- Establish and continuously improve SOC processes, playbooks, runbooks, escalation procedures, and operational standards.
- Define and monitor SOC performance using KPIs, KRIs, SLAs, MTTD, MTTR, detection coverage, alert quality, and incident response metrics.
- Drive SOC transformation, technology implementation, migration, optimization, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with recognized cybersecurity frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, MSSP partners, customers, and senior stakeholders.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership to continuously improve SOC maturity, efficiency, and security outcomes.
Key Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, SOC, or security operations.
- Significant experience in SOC leadership and management, preferably within a 24x7 operational environment.
- Strong practical experience with SIEM platforms such as FortiSIEM, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of SIEM architecture, use-case development, correlation rules, alert management, and security analytics.
- Proven experience in incident response, threat hunting, security investigation, and major incident management.
- Strong understanding of SOC operating models, governance, service management, KPIs, SLAs, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience managing and developing technical security teams.
- Strong vendor, customer, and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
Preferred Certifications
Relevant cybersecurity certifications are highly desirable, including:
CISSP | CISM | GCIH | GCIA | GCED or equivalent certifications.
Preferred Experience
Experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, including Industrial Control Systems, SCADA environments, and Operational Technology security, will be considered a strong advantage.
