Function: HSSE
The HSE Shift Executive will provide frontline HSSE support across terminal operations, ensuring safe working practices, compliance with established procedures and effective response to operational HSSE risks during assigned shifts.
The role is particularly important in a terminal environment where operations continue across shifts and require continuous HSSE monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor terminal operations for compliance with HSSE requirements.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections and safety observations.
- Monitor safe working practices and identify unsafe conditions.
- Support Permit to Work implementation.
- Participate in risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis.
- Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near misses and incidents.
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support emergency response and drills.
- Monitor contractor compliance.
- Ensure HSSE findings are escalated and tracked.
- Prepare shift HSSE reports.
- Support implementation of the IMS and Noatum Ports HSSE standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture among frontline employees.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline.
- Relevant HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA.
- 3–5+ years of relevant HSE experience.
- Experience in port, terminal, logistics, industrial or similar operational environments is preferred.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- English required; Arabic is an advantage.
