We are seeking to hire a highly skilled
Mechanical Engineer (MEP / Fit out) to design, oversee, and execute mechanical systems for high-end commercial and retail interior fit out projects across
Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must be an expert in
HVAC, chilled water piping, and domestic water systems, ensuring flawless execution from concept to final handover while strictly adhering to regional engineering standards.
Location: Amman with business travel to KSA when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Project Design & Estimation
- HVAC Systems: Design and optimize central ducted split, VRF, chilled water systems, and other systems’ types tailored for complex interior spaces.
- Water Piping: Calculate and detail domestic hot/cold water distribution, drainage, specialized plumbing systems, firefighting pipes, and chilled water pipes.
- Load Calculations: Perform cooling load, ESP (External Static Pressure), and pump head calculations.
- Material Selection: Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material submittals, and technical procurement specs.
Site Supervision & Coordination
- Clash Detection: Coordinate heavily with interior architects and electrical teams to prevent ceiling space conflicts.
- Subcontractor Management: Supervise on-site installation, testing, balancing (TAB), and commissioning of all mechanical works.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all workmanship meets project specifications and zero-defect fit out standards.
Compliance & Approvals
- Saudi Arabia Standards: Ensure total alignment with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), Saudi Civil Defense guidelines, and Ministry requirements.
- Jordan Standards:
- Ensure alignment with the Jordanian National Building Codes and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) or local Civil Defense regulations.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Jordan Registration: Active membership with the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA).
- Saudi Registration: Valid accreditation with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) (is a plus).
Experience & Skills
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of proven experience in interior fit outs or MEP contracting.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HAP (Hourly Analysis Program).
- Technical Standards: Deep familiarity with international standards like ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA.
- Languages: Professional fluency in both Arabic and English is required for regional coordination.
