As a member of Munich Re, the MedNet Group is a leading healthcare management and third-party administration (TPA) provider across the MEA region. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Accountant to join our HR Shared Services team in Jordan on an unlimited contract.
In this role, you will be responsible for payroll tax, social security, and social insurance calculations across multiple countries, including Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local regulations, maintaining accurate payroll records, supporting financial reporting requirements, and delivering high-quality payroll governance across the region.
Your Job:
• Execute payroll tax, social security, and social insurance calculations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Monitor employee earnings, deductions, and payroll transactions to ensure all payroll elements are accurately calculated and compliant with statutory requirements.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and annual payroll tax and social insurance reconciliations in collaboration with local tax advisors, social insurance advisors, and Finance teams.
• Liaise closely with local tax advisors and Finance teams to ensure payroll records and supporting documentation are accurately maintained within relevant tax portals, HR systems, and company records.
• Support the implementation of HR projects and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR Shared Services function.
• Prepare and maintain monthly and annual payroll, tax, social security, social insurance, and HR data reports.
• Monitor legislative changes and conduct regular research on tax, social insurance, and social security regulations across Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE to ensure payroll calculations and system configurations remain compliant.
• Collect, validate, and consolidate HR data required for monthly accruals and provisions, preparing reports for submission to Finance as part of the month-end closing process.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of payroll and employee data while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Your Profile:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum of three years' experience in payroll accounting, payroll processing, or a related finance function.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian payroll tax and social insurance legislation is essential.
• Knowledge of labor laws, social security regulations, and tax legislation across Jordan and GCC markets would be an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English required.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across HR, Finance, and external stakeholder groups.
