Job Description
Position Summary
The Cost & Financial Analyst will provide analytical, financial, commercial, and administrative support to the Commercial & Financial Lead-C&FL throughout the Financial Close period and the subsequent project implementation phase of a major PPP infrastructure project.
Working under the direction and supervision of the C&FL, the role will assist in the review and analysis of commercial, financial, and contractual matters; maintain project tracking and reporting tools; monitor key obligations, deliverables, and milestones; and support the preparation of reports, presentations, and project documentation. The position is intended to provide technical and analytical support to ongoing project activities and to assist in the timely execution of assigned tasks.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously while following established project procedures and guidance. The role is primarily supportive in nature and focuses on research, analysis, reporting, coordination, and documentation activities, contributing to the effective management of commercial and financial workstreams across different stages of project delivery.

- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the C&FL.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills to support the timely completion of assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, cost control, commercial support, contract administration, or related project delivery functions.
- Experience supporting infrastructure, construction, engineering, project finance, or capital project environments.
- Demonstrated experience preparing, reviewing, or maintaining financial reports, cost summaries, tracking logs, dashboards, schedules, or other project management documentation.
- Experience coordinating inputs, following up on action items, and supporting timely delivery of assigned commercial, financial, contractual, or project controls tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Public-Private Partnership (PPP), BOT, DBFOM, concession, or other alternative infrastructure delivery models.
- Exposure to project finance structures, lender requirements, Financial Close processes, or related transaction documentation.
- Familiarity of market price indices, indexation methodologies, escalation calculations, inflation-adjustment mechanisms, or payment adjustment formulas.
- Understanding of project costs, cost engineering, cost estimation, revenue structures, payment mechanisms, and financial performance monitoring within infrastructure or capital projects.
- Financial modeling experience, including cash flow analysis, scenario analysis, or sensitivity analysis, is considered an advantage.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information

In addition, during employment individuals may be required by CDM Smith or a CDM Smith client to successfully complete additional background checks, including motor vehicle record as well as drug testing.
Additional Pay Range Information
CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
