Business Unit Overview
The Chief Technology & AI Office powers PwC Middle East’s One Firm Tech and AI ambition by translating strategic priorities into scalable, business led AI solutions that improve how the firm works, serves clients, and creates value. The CTAIO operates end-to-end across the AI lifecycle, from opportunity shaping and solution design to deployment, adoption, change management, and value realisation. The office provides orchestration, technical fluency, governance, and feedback loops needed to turn innovation into reusable assets, measurable commercial outcomes, and lasting competitive advantage.
How You’ll Contribute
As an AI Engineer , you'll work as part of the Labs Practice to design, develop, and support AI driven prototypes, demos, and experimental solutions. You'll help translate conceptual ideas into technically feasible working solutions that can be used for client engagements, lab showcases, workshops, internal events, and thought leadership. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and support AI driven prototypes, demos, and experimental solutions for the Labs Practice.
- Build working software demonstrations that combine strong software engineering fundamentals with applied AI capabilities.
- Support the development of demos, prototypes, and insights for client facing showcases, internal events, and thought leadership.
- Work closely with innovation leads, designers, and client teams to assess the technical feasibility of prototypes and experiences.
- Participate in ideation sessions, design sprints, and innovation workshops with internal teams and clients.
- Support client engagements, workshops, experience center tours, and lab demonstrations.
- Prepare, set up, reset, maintain, and safely store lab equipment, devices, and prototyping materials for demonstrations and development activities.
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly to non technical clients and stakeholders.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, AI advancements, immersive technology applications, and relevant industry trends.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, documentation, and research initiatives, including such other duties that may be assigned by your manager.
What You'll Bring
- 1 to 4 years of professional experience as a software engineer or AI engineer in an individual contributor role, with demonstrated experience collaborating on team projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
- Frontend or backend development capability, with full stack experience considered a plus. Experience with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS is preferred.
- Experience building and shipping AI powered products, including machine learning model or LLM integration into applications such as RAG pipelines, agentic systems, and AI powered workflows.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit learn, plus computer vision and popular LLM APIs such as GPT, Claude, or Gemini.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, Git, and AI assisted coding tools. Docker, DevOps practices, and cloud platform experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP are preferred.
- Strong problem solving, analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and self motivation, with comfort operating in ambiguous and fast paced environments.
- English fluency is required.
