The Opportunity
We are seeking a technically strong IT Analytics Engineer to lead the design and optimization of enterprise semantic models and analytical capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem. This is a highly collaborative role requiring a professional who can bridge business requirements with robust data architecture and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance Power BI semantic models and datasets
• Develop complex DAX measures, calculations, and business logic to support enterprise reporting requirements
• Define and curate business logic that transforms data into trusted analytical assets
• Implement advanced semantic modeling techniques, including calculation groups and composite models
• Optimize models and datasets within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
• Establish standardized definitions and a single source of truth for enterprise metrics
• Leverage AI-powered capabilities within Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to accelerate development and improve productivity
• Implement and enforce data governance standards, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI teams to optimize upstream and downstream data consumption
• Support Data Analysts and business users in adopting self-service BI capabilities
• Build dashboards and analytical solutions for complex business scenarios when required
• Drive data quality, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives across analytical environments
Requirements
• 5-8+ years of experience in data modeling, business intelligence, or analytics engineering
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and DAX optimization
• Proven experience designing scalable and complex Power BI semantic models
• Expert-level proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake, and Data Pipelines
• Strong understanding of Star Schema design and Medallion Architecture principles
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance and security frameworks
• Exposure to AI-powered analytics and automation capabilities within reporting environments
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) and Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) are highly advantageous.
