Role Summary
The Finance Helpdesk Team Assistant supports the finance function by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, maintaining financial records, and assisting with vendor and internal stakeholder communications. This role plays an important part in supporting smooth financial operations, including month-end and year-end activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely and accurate data entry into the accounting system.
- Assist with vendor communications by responding to inquiries and resolving basic invoices or payment-related issues.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to vendor payments and invoicing.
- Help reconcile invoice and payment transactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Assist in preparing reports and supporting documentation as required by the finance team.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper invoice approvals and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized electronic and manual filing systems for financial documents.
- Adhere to internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Basic understanding of financial processes, invoicing, and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with finance or accounting systems is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
