Reporting To: Lead Accountant
Job Purpose:
Sr. Accountant is responsible for maintaining general ledger accuracy, supporting financial closings, and preparing reconciliations. The role plays an integral part in ensuring compliance with internal financial policies, accurate reporting, and process improvement, while actively supporting the broader finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Journal Entries & Bookkeeping:
- Record accounting entries for expenses, inventory, receivables, and payables.
- Support accurate month-end close by preparing schedules and reconciliations.
Cash & Inventory Verification:
- Assist in physical verification of cash and inventory in coordination with relevant teams.
- Prepare supporting documentation and reconciliation statements.
Compliance & Audit Preparation:
- Ensure that accounting records comply with internal policies and standards.
- Prepare required reports and documents for audit readiness.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Compile and submit reports to the Senior Accountant for review.
- · Analyze trends in expenditures and suggest improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Technical Skills:
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and ERP software (preferably MS Dynamics).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and analytical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
