Position Objective:
Act as the technical authority for telecom asset identification and asset lifecycle management standards. Define and govern asset data requirements, survey standards, lifecycle governance processes, reconciliation methodologies, and quality controls across telecom network and site assets to ensure accurate, standardized, and audit-ready asset information.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for telecom asset management, asset identification, lifecycle status management, and asset data governance.
- Define and enforce asset management standards, including mandatory asset attributes, naming conventions, tagging methodologies, serial/model capture standards, location hierarchy, evidence requirements, and exception handling processes.
- Provide technical guidance for the identification and classification of telecom and datacenter/network equipment, including chassis, shelves, cards, modules, optics, power systems, racks, and related infrastructure assets.
- Lead quality assurance and quality control activities for asset survey outputs through sampling reviews, peer validation, discrepancy analysis, reconciliation readiness checks, and corrective action tracking.
- Coordinate with field survey teams, site operations, engineering, inventory specialists, asset owners, vendors, procurement, finance, and operations stakeholders to ensure alignment of asset information and lifecycle records.
- Define and maintain reconciliation logic between physical survey findings, CMDB records, inventory databases, ERP asset registers, purchase records, and operational systems.
- Support lifecycle governance processes, including asset creation, movement, assignment, transfer, decommissioning, retirement, disposal, and evidence retention management.
- Prepare and monitor asset management KPIs, exception reports, reconciliation reports, data quality dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company asset governance standards, site regulations, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
- Support audit activities and provide technical clarification related to asset records, discrepancies, and lifecycle documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to telecom asset governance, reconciliation accuracy, operational efficiency, and data quality management.
- Collaborate closely with planning, rollout, engineering, operations, and vendor management teams to maintain accurate and reliable asset data across all systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8–12+ years of experience in telecom asset management, network audit, physical inventory management, CMDB administration, ITAM, DCIM, OSS inventory systems, or infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Strong technical expertise in identifying telecom and datacenter/network equipment by vendor, model, chassis, module, card, serial number, labels, and location attributes.
- Proven experience in developing asset survey standards, reconciliation methodologies, lifecycle governance frameworks, and data quality controls.
- Hands-on experience with physical asset surveys, barcode/RFID scanning tools, structured checklists, reconciliation datasets, and asset validation processes.
- Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail and governance compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working in telecom operations, network infrastructure environments, or large-scale telecom projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining data accuracy, governance standards, and delivery timelines.
- Arabic and English language proficiency is mandatory.
- ISO 55000 / ISO 55001 Awareness or Certification preferred.
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
