Context
UNICEF works to promote the rights and well‑being of every child, with a strong focus on reaching the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families. In Jordan, UNICEF partners with government institutions, civil society, communities, UN agencies, and development partners to support children, adolescents, and families across a wide range of programme and operational areas. Technology and digital solutions play a critical role in enabling effective programme delivery, business continuity, collaboration, data‑driven decision‑making, and efficient office operations. This UN Volunteer assignment is part of UNICEF Jordan’s Digital Impact / ICT function, which provides ICT service delivery, end‑user support, digital workplace tools, cloud‑based systems, automation, reporting, and knowledge management. The role combines hands‑on ICT support with digital workplace enablement to strengthen service quality, reduce downtime, improve staff productivity, and support the adoption of modern digital tools across the office.
Description of Duties
- Provide first‑ and second‑level ICT helpdesk support to staff and office users.
- Support users with ICT equipment, standard applications, connectivity, and collaboration tools.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and digital workplace platforms.
- Support SharePoint sites, document libraries, internal trackers, and collaboration spaces.
- Assist with cloud systems, user access, and basic Azure/Entra ID–related tasks.
- Support development and maintenance of Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and digital forms.
- Contribute to Power BI dashboards, reporting, and data visualization.
- Provide technical support for virtual, hybrid, and in‑person meetings and audiovisual systems.
- Document solutions, user guidance, recurring issues, and recommendations for improvement.
Profile Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, data science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in ICT support, helpdesk services, systems support, or digital workplace environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools and end‑user support in office settings.
- Experience supporting ICT equipment, conferencing tools, and digital collaboration platforms.
- Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and work effectively in multicultural environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (required).
