Ideal Candidate
A strategic and results driven, professional with 8+ years of experience in seeds sales. Driving revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies for Seeds products, managing the sales team, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with distributors, farmers, and key agricultural stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with company targets and improve the market share of seed sales.
- Identify new markets, crops, and customer segments (farmers, distributors, cooperatives).
- Assist in building the inventory stock levels to better plan seed demand issues.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Forecast sales volumes and revenues.
- Conduct regular field visits.
- Expand distribution network (dealers, wholesalers, agro-retailers).
- Build partnerships with large farms and agricultural projects
- Identify new business opportunities (new regions, export if applicable).
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
- Handle major negotiations and contracts.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Work closely with agronomists/technical teams to promote correct product usage.
- Support field demonstrations, trials, and farmer awareness campaigns.
- Recommend pricing strategies based on market dynamics.
- Monitor margins and profitability.
- Manage discounts, incentives, and credit policies.
- Track sales performance vs targets.
- Prepare regular reports for management (sales, market insights, risks).
- Monitor KPIs such as volume, revenue, collection, and coverage.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience within the seeds industry.
- Strong understanding of crops, soil, and agricultural practices
- Strong experience in customer relationship management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written); knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
