Role Overview
FutureTEC is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Jordan.
This role is responsible for managing core accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Ledger Management
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger
- Review and post journal entries
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Financial Closing & Reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight
- Oversee AP/AR processes and ensure proper execution
- Monitor collections and outstanding receivables
- Support vendor payments and reconciliation
Reconciliation & Controls
- Perform and review bank and account reconciliations
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance
- Identify and resolve discrepancies
ERP & Systems
- Work extensively on ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity
- Support process improvements and automation
Audit & Compliance
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of accounting experience
- Strong experience in financial reporting and closing processes
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a strong plus)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) or in progress
- Experience in IT services or project-based environments
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-country accounting
