Responsibilities:
· Manage and direct shift team members and plan operations to ensure the achievement of production goals.
· Supervise the shift team members, define and assign their responsibilities, and hold daily meetings with the team to ensure clarity of priorities and smooth workflow.
· Follow up on the implementation of approved safety policies, protocols, and measures by shift team members to ensure employee safety, health, and proper equipment operation.
· Follow up on the implementation of operating procedures within the team and take necessary corrective actions when required to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the environment.
· Supervise the operation of new equipment in the plant and coordinate with the relevant parties.
· Monitor production operations, equipment, and resources to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency according to production plans while maintaining product quality standards.
· Resolve operational problems, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to improve production performance.
· Supervise the implementation of methods and strategies to reduce costs and improve performance.
· Supervise and monitor the consumption standards of raw materials according to the defined benchmark figures, follow up on raw material inventory, and request supplies as needed to achieve the required production targets.
· Supervise and ensure that plant operations run efficiently by monitoring the readings of plant parameters through the Distributed Control System (DCS) and field operations.
· Review written operating procedures and make necessary amendments when required.
· Participate in technical analysis of root causes of problems, fault diagnosis, and enhancing process efficiency.
· Perform any other tasks related to the department’s nature of work as assigned by the manager responsible
Academic Qualification and Professional Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a supervisory role. (In the case of internal appointment: a minimum of a diploma in a related field, preferably in Chemical Engineering, with a cumulative experience of no less than 9 years — including at least 6 years within the company — due to the specialized operational experience acquired during the period of work at Jordan Bromine).
Professional Certifications and Training:
· Company-approved internal certifications for Civil Defense training.
Required Knowledge:
· Knowledge of industrial sector operations.
· Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
· Advanced knowledge in operating manufacturing units.
