Responsibilities:
- Follow up on logistics operations team activities and manage the movement of trucks and equipment on site to ensure loading and transportation activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and policies.
- Supervise the planning and approval of loading and transportation plans and orders in alignment with sales and export logistics plans.
- Organize daily operations within the section, including task planning and distribution among team members to ensure efficient execution according to set schedules.
- Act as a reference point for the team in cases of product non-conformity or issues related to containers or tankers, and coordinate with concerned departments to take the necessary actions.
- Review shipping documents and sales invoices prior to loading operations.
- Ensure quality of loading and transportation operations and compliance with health and safety standards and required safety procedures.
- Review shipment files and documents delivered to carriers and logistics service providers.
- Evaluate the performance of shipping and transportation service providers based on the company’s supplier evaluation criteria.
- Collect and analyze loading and shipping performance data and prepare KPI reports for the department manager, with recommendations for improvement.
- Plan and manage truck movements and trip schedules to and from Aqaba, and coordinate with transportation companies to ensure truck availability in line with the shipping plan.
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies & Skills
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineer, Business Administration, or any related field.
Professional Certifications and Training :
- Recognized professional certifications in supply chain management such as CLT (Certified Logistics Technician), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CIL (Certified in Logistics), or equivalent as an Advantage.
Professional Experience:
- Nine (9) years of experience in transportation and movement operations within similar industries or shipping companies.
Required Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations.
- Knowledge of transportation and distribution planning.
- Knowledge of customs laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of shipping methods, requirements, and documentation.
- Customs clearance knowledge.
