Job Summary
The Lock Desk and Secondary Analyst is responsible for all lock desk and secondary activities from time of lock to purchase. Manage and maintain the Premier Lending lock desk inbox. Maintain Optimal Blue pricing and product configuration. Provide secondary support for all sales and commitment activity. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow in the mortgage industry, focusing on pricing, lock management, and secondary market functions
Key Responsibilities
- Lock Desk Support
- Assist with accepting and processing lock requests (mandatory/best efforts).
- Process lock change requests, including profile changes and extensions, under guidance.
- Monitor and report day-over-day pricing changes to the team.
- Pricing and Reporting
- Update daily pricing using Optimal Blue and other pricing engines.
- Import daily pricing for Premier Products
- Help maintain concession reporting and ensure accuracy in updates.
- Generate weekly, monthly servicing and lock activity reports for management.
- Pull loan level reporting from FNMA and FHLMC portals.
- System Maintenance
- Support the configuration of programs and pricing updates in Encompass and Optimal Blue.
- Ensure data accuracy between systems, including GSE and investor portals.
- Validate loan populations between encompass and MCT.
- Update Best Efforts (BE) comparisons within encompass
- Secondary Marketing Support
- Assist in tracking Agency and BULK commitments until purchase.
- Provide basic support for loan sales, TBA confirmations, and pair offs.
- Validate loan-level populations under the supervision of the Senior Analyst.
- General Responsibilities
- Maintain organized documentation of lock desk activities.
- Participate in training to develop a deeper understanding of lock desk and secondary marketing functions.
- Perform other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications Requirements
- MUST be fluent in reading and writing English
- Must be able to work hours late hours from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
- College degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Preferred 2+ years of working experience.
- Detail oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and take constructive criticism, coaching and feedback for improvement.
- Ability to work through and solve problems.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned duties, meeting deadlines.
