About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of core accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
The role will support Mada’s financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, month-end closing, budgeting, audits, and continuous improvement of finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, journal entries, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
- Manage and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, Jordanian tax regulations, and applicable requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and systems.
- Provide financial analysis and support to Finance leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant role.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and closing.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and Jordanian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, payments, or technology is an advantage.
- CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
