Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Amman for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage various aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciling accounts, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Responsibilities will also include ensuring compliance with tax regulations, analyzing financial data, budgeting, and supporting internal audits. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the finance team to optimize processes and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Working Days/hours are Sunday to thursday, from 09:30 AM to 05:30 PM.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Account Reconciliation
- Expertise in Tax Compliance, Financial Analysis, and Internal Auditing
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA, or CIA certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience (senior-level in relevant sectors)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, financial modeling), ERP/BI tools proficiency.
- Fluency in Arabic and English; strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and leadership skills.
- Professional experience in the fertilizers or petrochemicals industries is advantageous
- Knowledge of international financial regulations and standards is beneficial
