Main purpose of the job:
The primary responsibility of the Key Account Executive is to focus on achieving the sales and visibility targets for his customers and ensure full achievement of core distribution and in parallel, aligning Nestlé strategy with customers’ needs by developing mutual business opportunities. At this position, he/she must maximize short- and long-term sales and profitability and build long-term successful business relationships with customers to become the preferred supplier.
Day in life:
- Accountable for the achievement of their customers’ sales volumes, OG and RIG targets by category.
- Develop customer specific business plans in alignment with key customers and ensure that these plans are properly implemented.
- Monitor customer business performance and jointly develop action plans to accelerate growth or to address any shortfalls.
- Define with KAM/Channel Manager strategic direction for Retail Key Account customers.
- Achieve the set coverage, core distribution and visibility of the Nestlé products within the channel/ customer, balancing customer priorities with category objectives.
- Prepare and conduct regular customer business planning reviews and propose action to accelerate growth.
- In co-ordination with CDT to develop customer specific tailor-made promotions in line with the category objectives and Business development needs.
- Constantly work to improve the return on investment through the management of financial performance of Key Account Customers utilizing CCS and SPPE as business management tools.
- Develop and keep up to date Customer Profiles/Fact Books.
- Gather & report on customer trends, needs and competitor information.
- Ensure listing of new SKU's and the achievement of the POP objectives.
- Effectively develop and manage long term customer relationships.
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance with all activities undertaken, including those taking place on trade, to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and Nestle Instructions and local country codes. Ensure as well compliance with Nestlé’s strictest requirements that Nestlé marketing and sales personnel will not seek contact with, or give advice to pregnant women, or mothers of infants and young children regarding Infant Formula in their business capacity
