The Function Purpose
Act as the first line of defense for the Forex department by monitoring the live trading ecosystem to ensure that client orders are executed smoothly with the Liquidity Providers.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor the Ultency bridge dashboard to ensure that all Liquidity Providers feeds are active, pricing is stable, and trade confirmations are received instantly.
- Identify and resolve “pending orders” that have failed to execute due to volatility or technical gaps, and manually push orders to LPs when necessary.
- Proactively flag high-latency periods (slippage spikes) to the dealing manager for potential routing adjustments.
- Monitor live client activity to detect abusive strategies such as Latency Arbitrage, News Straddling, Swap Hunting, that could harm our LP relationships.
- Ensure immediate response to system alerts regarding Net Open Position (NOP) imbalances, ensuring the “A-book” hedge remains perfect.
- Assist the Finance department through the generation o gen-of-shift “Trade Volume Reports” and verify that daily LP settlement figures match our internal records.
- Act as the technical escalation point for the Customer Support team regarding trade disputes.
- Perform system checks during the daily market rollover (swaps application) to ensure accurate account adjustments.
- Maintain a detailed “Shift Log” recording any connectivity drops, spread widening events, or client disputes to ensure seamless handover to the next dealer.
- Monitor major economic news releases (NFP, CPI, Central Bank rates) and alert the Risk Manager of any potential volatility risks.
