Job Description
The Petra Box Business & Operations Manager will lead the launch and full operation of Petra Box as a last-mile delivery service.
This role combines business strategy, operational management, financial oversight, and partnership development. The successful candidate will build the service model, define pricing, manage daily delivery operations, grow partnerships, and ensure sustainable revenue and margin growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for transforming Petra Box from launch stage into a scalable, revenue-generating service.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Design and manage the full delivery process.
- Set service levels and delivery time standards.
- Monitor daily performance and resolve operational issues.
- Coordinate with Customer Support and Driver teams.
- Ensure service quality and reliability.
Business Development:
- Identify and approach potential clients and partners.
- Negotiate agreements and pricing.
- Grow order volume through partnerships.
- Monitor market activity and competitors.
Financial Performance:
- Track revenue and delivery volume.
- Monitor cost per delivery.
- Maintain healthy margins.
- Provide regular performance reports.
Driver Management:
- Activate drivers for delivery service.
- Develop incentive structures when required.
- Monitor delivery-related driver performance.
- Ensure sufficient driver availability.
KPIs:
- Monthly delivery volume.
- Revenue generated.
- Cost per delivery.
- Gross margin.
- On-time delivery rate.
- Client acquisition and retention.
- Driver utilization rate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, or related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in operations, delivery/logistics, or business management.
- Experience launching or scaling a service business is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Ability to build processes from the ground up.
- Strong negotiation and partnership development skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics.
- Experience in mobility, last-mile delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
- Proven leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
