NXGEN is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in TypeScript, Nest.js, and backend development. The ideal candidate will take ownership of backend architecture, lead technical decisions, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our platform.
Responsibilities :
- Leading and mentoring team members through code reviews, pair programming, and providing ongoing technical guidance.
- Consistently delivering projects on time while maintaining high code quality and team alignment.
- Proactively identifying technical issues, risks, or areas of improvement before they become obstacles.
- Owning backend architectural decisions and breaking down complex features into clear, actionable tasks.
- Collaborating with business and technical leadership to transform requirements into scalable backend solutions.
- Supporting frontend development when needed to maintain project momentum and deliver full end-to-end solutions.
- Implementing security best practices, database optimization, API performance tuning, and handling backend troubleshooting efficiently.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer, or similar engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Nest.js, with hands-on experience building scalable backend applications.
- Solid understanding of backend architecture, API design, microservices, and integration patterns.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, MongoDB, and strong knowledge of database optimization.
- Familiarity with frontend concepts and ability to collaborate with UI teams when needed.
- Strong problem solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
