Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Amman, Jordan. The Finance Manager will oversee and manage all financial tasks, ensuring regulatory compliance and financial health. Responsibilities include developing financial strategies, preparing budgets, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenses, and ensuring timely financial reporting. The role also involves leading the finance team, liaising with stakeholders, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership for strategic decisions.
- Lead cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and timely reporting to stakeholders.
- Monitor key financial KPIs and present performance dashboards.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with accounting standards.
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely completion of external audits.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
- Maintain banking relationships and support financing activities when needed.
- Oversee payment cycles, driver payouts, refunds, and company expenses.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures.
- Support risk management, including fraud prevention and financial governance.
- Work closely with Operations, HR, and other departments on financial processes.
- Provide financial insights for new projects, pricing strategies, and business cases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/CPA is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally in fast-paced or tech-driven companies.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting standards.
- Solid experience with financial systems, ERPs, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in startups, ride-hailing, logistics, mobility, or marketplace businesses.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulatory requirements in Jordan.
- Experience building financial processes from the ground up.
