Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions using SQL and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across multiple systems.
- Develop clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations that communicate analytical insights and support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, turning them into effective data visualizations and reports.
- Mentor and guide junior BI developers and analysts.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and performance tuning of BI systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives around BI processes, automation, and standards.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a BI Developer or related role with increasing seniority.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex query development, performance optimization, and data modeling.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint for professional-quality presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Extensive experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business value.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees and relevant BI or data certifications are a plus.
