Production Manager
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations to achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental standards and local regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement using LEAN tools and best practices (e.g., 5S, SMED, value stream mapping).
- Define and monitor site KPIs, review performance reports regularly.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and HR to optimize productivity.
- Manage and develop team members (Engineers, Supervisors, Operators) through training and performance evaluation.
- Implement digitalization and process optimization initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and problem-solving support for production challenges.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Effectively participate in internal and external audits (HSE / ISO / QA).
- Manage and control production budget and optimize resource utilization (materials & workforce).
- Design and re-design production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs; challenge the status quo for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit regular production performance reports to senior management.
- Monitor, analyze, and reduce scrap rates across all production lines; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Professional Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical education required.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in production management within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Specific Knowledge
