Chief Financial Officer Vacancy
Experienced strategic finance leader sought to join a leading construction company in Amman, Jordan as Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will own financial strategy, reporting, risk management, and finance-team leadership to support sustainable growth and strong governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Finance Leadership: Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term capital planning.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate, timely statutory and management reporting; maintain compliance with Jordanian regulations and international accounting standards.
- Treasury and Cash Management: Oversee liquidity, banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimization.
- Risk and Internal Controls: Design and maintain internal controls, lead audits, tax planning, and compliance programs.
- Performance Analysis: Provide financial analysis, KPIs, and scenario modelling to support executive and board decision-making.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage the finance and accounting team; implement scalable processes and systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present financial results to the board, investors, lenders, and external partners; support fundraising or refinancing activities when required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in finance roles with at least 5 years in senior leadership; experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, treasury, and audit.
- Sector Experience: Experience in regional corporate, financial services, or fast-scaling organizations preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong command of IFRS, financial modelling, ERP/financial systems, and advanced Excel.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive change.
- Language: Professional proficiency in English; Arabic language skills an advantage.
