The Corporate Head of Procurement leads and manages the group’s procurement strategy for both Direct (raw materials, components, site and lab production-related) and Indirect (services, IT, CAPEX, maintenance, and operations) spend.
This role oversees procurement across a hybrid organization, integrating both corporate and site-level procurement functions. It drives sourcing excellence, supplier management, and digital transformation to deliver cost savings, supplier performance, business continuity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement a global procurement strategy aligned with business goals.
- Establish hybrid procurement models and governance frameworks balancing central and local needs.
- Define clear procurement policies, KPIs, and reporting structures.
- Drive strategic sourcing and global cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, sustainability, and quality standards across all spend areas..
- Sourcing & Category Management
- Lead sourcing across Direct and Indirect categories with focus on cost, quality, and innovation.
- Manage key vendor relationships and long-term agreements.
- Implement and mature Category Management practices.
- Process Optimization & Digitalization
- Standardize procurement processes and lead automation initiatives (e.g., e-sourcing, ERP tools).
- Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements across procurement activities.
- Champion digital procurement transformation to improve speed, transparency, and efficiency
- Leadership & Change Management
- Lead both corporate and site procurement teams across multiple geographies..
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Act as a change leader supporting business transformation and operational excellence..
- Stakeholder & Risk Management
- Partner with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Legal, and Finance to align procurement with business priorities.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity and resilience.
- Lead supplier performance programs and support quality audits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in direct and indirect procurement within industrial/manufacturing environments, ideally in pharmaceuticals.
- Proven success in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and procurement digitalization.
- Demonstrated track record of consistent year-over-year savings.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical supplier networks and GMP/GDP standards
- Knowledge of international commercial regulations and compliance frameworks.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of procurement experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role within the pharma industry.
- Fluency in English, Arabic & French are advantage.
