Job Purpose:
The IT Manager will oversee all corporate IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient technology operations across Qawn’s offices. This role focuses on maintaining robust network security, managing endpoint devices, and creating a seamless technology experience for our teams.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Corporate Network Management & Security
- Design, implement, and maintain secure corporate network architecture including LAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure
- Configure and manage enterprise-grade firewalls, network switches, and wireless access points
- Implement network segmentation strategies (guest, corporate, development networks)
- Monitor network performance and security using SIEM and network monitoring tools
- Manage secure remote access solutions for hybrid work environments
- Ensure network compliance with SAMA cybersecurity framework and financial sector requirements
Endpoint Management & Security
- Deploy and manage fleet of Ubuntu Enterprise workstations and laptops
- Implement endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions
- Configure and maintain mobile device management (MDM) for company devices
- Establish device encryption standards and enforce security policies
- Manage software deployment, updates, and patch management across all endpoints
- Implement zero-trust endpoint security model
Identity & Access Management
- Administer Active Directory/LDAP or modern identity providers
- Implement and manage single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Manage privileged access management (PAM) solutions
- Oversee user provisioning/deprovisioning processes
- Maintain access control lists and security groups
Corporate Security Operations
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures
- Conduct regular security awareness training for employees
- Manage data loss prevention (DLP) solutions
- Implement email security and anti-phishing measures
- Coordinate security audits and compliance assessments
- Manage incident response for corporate IT security events
IT Operations & Support
- Oversee help desk operations and IT support services
- Manage corporate productivity tools
- Maintain video conferencing and collaboration systems
- Administer corporate file sharing and backup solutions
- Manage IT asset lifecycle and inventory
- Oversee vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise
- Minimum 5-7 years of corporate IT management experience, preferably in fintech or financial services
- Strong proficiency in Ubuntu Enterprise desktop/laptop management and Linux administration
- Advanced network security knowledge:
- Enterprise firewall management
- Network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, QoS)
- WiFi 6/6E enterprise deployment and security (WPA3 Enterprise)
- IDS/IPS implementation and management
- VPN technologies
Core Technical Skills
- Network monitoring tools
- Endpoint management solutions for Linux/Ubuntu environments
- Configuration management tools for workstation management
- Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python) for automation
- Knowledge of container security for developer workstations
- Experience with corporate proxy and web filtering solutions
Security & Compliance
- Experience implementing ISO 27001/27002 controls in corporate environments
- Knowledge of CBJ cybersecurity requirements for financial institutions (familiarity with SAMA requirements is a plus)
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, local data protection laws)
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls)
Preferred Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any related field
Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ (minimum)
- CCNA or higher Cisco certification
- Ubuntu Certified Administrator (UCA)
- Any of: CISSP, GSEC, CySA+, or equivalent security certification

- Experience managing hybrid work environments
- Knowledge of BYOD policies and implementation
- Familiarity with fintech development tools and requirements
- Experience with office IoT device security (printers, smart displays, access control systems)
- Understanding of Open Banking security requirements
