About the Role - The incumbent reports to CHRO and will be responsible for handling end-to-end HR operations & strategy, Talent Acquisition & Management, Compliance, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Industrial Relations, Change Management, Administration and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities -
- Partner closely with factory & regional heads to develop and execute the organization’s Human Capital Management strategies and embed it to company culture.
- Lead recruitment efforts by identifying and hiring suitable candidates in coordination with department heads.
- Address employee concerns and mediate workplace disputes to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Develop training programs based on skill gaps to build a strong and capable workforce. Stay updated on HR trends and use data to improve processes and decision-making. Ensure compliance with employment laws and handle employee issues professionally.
- Implement a robust performance management system including goal setting, feedback, and performance appraisals.
- Ensure Legal Compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices from time to time to maintain up-to-date trend and knowledge of regulatory requirements/changes for all locations. Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations when employee dispute or misconduct arise in the workplace.
Qualifications and Skills required-
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources.
- 15+ years of HR experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role in Jordan, preferably in the garment industry.
- Experience managing a diverse workforce of 2,000+ across multiple factory sites.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and HR compliance.
- Knowledge of the local language is required.
- Organized, analytical, and solution focused.
- Able to manage change and handle challenges calmly.
- Strong sense of urgency, good at prioritizing and delegating to the team when appropriate.
