About the RoleWe are looking for a detailed-oriented Senior Accountant to manage our financial activities and oversee the accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing internal reports, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements. You will play a pivotal role in inventory management, cost control, and cash flow monitoring to help the administration make informed financial and administrative decisions.
Role Description & Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets. Analyze financial results, identify deviations from the budget, and provide recommendations to management.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Manage inventory audits (periodic and surprise spot checks) and monitor stock turnover to prevent spoilage or overstocking. specific focus on costing materials, pricing offers, and calculating landed costs for purchases.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee daily cash flows, ensure liquidity to cover company obligations, and strictly monitor cash funds to prevent manipulation or theft.
- Compliance & Auditing: Work with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure full compliance with legal and tax regulations. Audit and approve monthly payroll sheets in coordination with HR.
- Assets & Liabilities: Manage Fixed Assets registers (capitalization, depreciation, disposal). Oversee Accounts Payable, ensuring supplier payments and contractor fees are settled according to agreements.
- Branch Operations: Monitor branch sales, reconcile daily cash boxes, and validate sales invoices against system entries. Handle expense allocations and prepaid expense amortization.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems (AIS), or a related field.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of practical experience in the accounting field.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in Food Manufacturing companies.
- Experience working with Family Businesses with local geographic spread.
- Strong background in using ERP systems and accounting software.
- Proven track record in account reconciliation and cost control.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Industrial Costing: Ability to calculate manufacturing costs and landed costs for imports/purchases.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and variances.
- Organization: Excellent time management, prioritization, and planning skills.
- Communication: Strong ability to coordinate with internal departments (Procurement, HR, Warehouses) and external parties (Auditors, Suppliers).
