Internal Auditor
Job Objective:
To ensure the company’s compliance with local and international regulatory frameworks (such as the Securities Commission, Central Bank, FATF), and to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control and risk management systems through conducting regular and ad-hoc audit assignments across the company’s operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing the Annual Audit Plan:
Develop a risk-based internal audit plan covering all departments and functions, especially those related to securities trading, portfolio management, and client services.
2.Executing Audit Assignments:
Conduct financial, operational, and administrative audits in line with the approved audit plan.
Audit trading transactions and analyze compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls.
3.Compliance Review:
Ensure the company's adherence to regulations issued by authorities such as the Securities Commission and Stock Exchange.
Audit employee compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) policies.
Examine “Know Your Customer” (KYC) procedures, customer data updates, and source of funds verification.
4.Evaluating the Effectiveness of Internal Controls:
Review the design and efficiency of internal controls in mitigating operational and financial risks.
Provide recommendations to strengthen controls and enhance governance and transparency.
5.Reporting:
Prepare periodic audit reports outlining observations and recommendations.
Submit reports to the Audit Committee or senior management according to the approved structure.
6.Follow-up on Recommendations:
Coordinate with concerned departments to ensure corrective actions are implemented within the defined timelines.
7.Continuous Updates:
Keep abreast of regulatory developments in capital markets.
Maintain and develop professional knowledge in internal auditing, especially in trading supervision and financial compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of internal audit experience, preferably within financial services or stock exchanges.
Professional Certifications (preferred/Additional Advantages):
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or
CPA or CISA depending on the company's nature.
Skills:
Strong understanding of capital market regulations.
Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills.
Proficient in clear and professional report writing.
Effective communication skills.
