Job Brief:
Responsible for managing procurement activities related to assigned categories or business units. This includes sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contracting to ensure the best value for money in compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry best practices. The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier management, and alignment with organizational goals and service level agreements (SLAs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, soliciting offers, evaluating bids, negotiating terms, and awarding contracts in alignment with procurement policies and procedures
- Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders, ensuring all required supporting documents are archived and contract terms are approved or signed.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, including onboarding, contract management, and performance monitoring through scorecards and service-level assessments.
- Negotiate contracts to secure favorable pricing, terms, and services while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Analyze market trends and delivery systems to identify potential suppliers, optimize sourcing opportunities, and recommend strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Follow up with suppliers/vendors on order progress and resolve any issues to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Level of Experience:
Limited Experience (2-5Yrs) of progressive procurement experience in a large or multinational organization, preferably in telecom, IT, or technology sectors.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and offer solutions to problems or involve the necessary people to ensure the problem is properly resolved.
- The ability to make sound decisions to successfully integrate objectives, opportunities, and resources.
- Ability to liaison with other cross functional employees and work with multiple processes and procedures.
- Time management skills are necessary to successfully manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Accounting and mathematical skills to conduct value analysis, discrepancy resolution, and the review of bids and pricing proposals.
- Ability to acquire detailed knowledge of specific customers, pricing, products, product lines, and packing & shipping standards.
- Knowledge of tender evaluation process
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness in dealing with external vendors.
- Good command of analytical thinking

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Certifications & Licensure:
Essential:
- CIPS Level 4 (Diploma in Procurement and Supply)
- CSCP
Desirable:
- CIPS Level 5 (Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply) or Level 6 (Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply)
Tools & Systems:
- Experience with Oracle ERP or equivalent systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).
- Proficiency in eProcurement platforms and e-tendering tools.
