Job Summary
The Groups Marketing Specialist is responsible for
developing, managing, and executing marketing strategies through social media
chat groups. This role focuses on leveraging group-based communities (e.g.,
WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Groups, Discord, etc.) to increase brand
engagement, promote products or services, generate leads, and foster loyal
communities around the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage active brand-led groups on platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Groups, and others.
- Develop and implement engagement strategies to grow and nurture group membership.
- Create and curate relevant content tailored to each group’s interests and communication style.
- Monitor group conversations, respond to inquiries, and encourage healthy, brand-aligned discussion.
- Collaborate with product, sales, and customer service teams to share announcements, promotions, and gather insights.
- Track performance metrics (engagement rates, group growth, click-throughs, etc.) and provide regular reports.
- Ensure compliance with platform guidelines and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for cross-promotion across channels and contribute to broader digital campaigns.
- Stay updated on trends in community marketing, group behavior, and relevant social media developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in social media marketing, community management, or group-based digital campaigns.
- Strong understanding of various group-based platforms and their dynamics (WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Groups, etc.).
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to craft engaging messages tailored to specific audiences.
- Comfortable with analytics tools and performance tracking.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in influencer or brand ambassador coordination within groups.
- Familiarity with tools like Bitly, Google Analytics, or community management platforms.
- Multilingual communication skills are a plus.
- Background in customer service or online moderation is an advantage.
