Bank of Jordan is looking for an experienced Control & Financial Reporting Senior Officer to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain effective internal controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing to the bank’s financial integrity and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Monitor and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions of regulatory reports and compliance with local banking regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends and discrepancies.
- Work closely with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and addressing any findings.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to strengthen financial control frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial strategies and reporting obligations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, internal controls, or a similar role within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proficiency in presenting financial information clearly.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of banking industry operations and regulations is a plus.
