Role Description This full-time, on-site Waiter role is based at ORYX Hotel in Aqaba. The Waiter is responsible for greeting guests, presenting menus, taking and accurately recording food and beverage orders, and serving meals and drinks in a courteous and efficient manner. Daily tasks include setting up and clearing tables, ensuring the dining area is clean and well-organized, and coordinating with the kitchen and bar to deliver orders promptly. The role involves handling guest inquiries, addressing special requests, and resolving minor issues to ensure a positive dining experience. The Waiter is also expected to follow hotel service standards, adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines, and support colleagues during peak service times.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality.
- Practical experience or knowledge in Food & Beverage and Food Service operations.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Basic Cooking knowledge is an advantage for understanding menu items and special requests.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in hotel, restaurant, or café service is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Conversational English is a must.
