Harmony Investment Company is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join our Finance team in Amman, Jordan.
The successful candidate will lead day-to-day accounting operations across the Group’s companies and oversee financial reporting, period-end closing, treasury and reconciliations, tax compliance, audit coordination, and accounting controls.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise accounting operations across multiple Group entities
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Manage period-end closing activities in line with IFRS requirements
• Supervise bank reconciliations, AP, AR, and treasury-related activities
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian tax and Social Security requirements
• Coordinate external audits and maintain audit-ready financial records
• Review accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial analysis
• Oversee ERP/accounting systems and data integrity
• Lead and develop the accounting team
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at Chief Accountant level
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, treasury, and internal controls
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Professional proficiency in English and Arabic
